Discovering the serenity of the Indus River Camp, perched on the banks of the Indus River just beyond Leh, felt like finding an oasis in the mountains. With the majestic Himalayas forming a stunning backdrop, the setting is simply enchanting. The warm and hospitable team, particularly Jigmet and Rigzin, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. The culinary delights from the kitchen, notably Salman's impeccable pizza creations, left our taste buds dancing. Our snug cottage, complete with a plush bed and a private terrace overlooking the river, provided the perfect retreat. The meticulously maintained garden and meadow became our sanctuary of peace and tranquility.
Beyond the idyllic setting, we enjoyed visits to a camel sanctuary, indulged in bird-watching along the water meadows, embarked on treks to nearby monasteries, and, of course, marveled at the night sky during our stargazing sessions – a highlight being the extraordinary sighting of a 'blue moon.' Indus River Camp exceeded our expectations in every way, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem for an unforgettable mountain retreat!

In our quest for a break from the hustle of city life amid the pandemic, we sought out a unique haven in Leh. Stumbling upon the captivating images of this property on booking.com, I reached out directly to Nico, the manager. Opting for Nico's assistance in orchestrating our 8-day vacation turned out to be a fantastic decision. He proved invaluable with pre-trip reservations and offered stellar suggestions throughout our journey.
The three days at the camp were nothing short of magical, complemented by the delectable cuisine crafted by Mary and her team. The picturesque views and our stay in the cozy tent, hut, and cottage provided the solace we had been yearning for. Our heartfelt thanks go to Nico, Mary, and the entire staff whose dedication made this extraordinary experience possible. We're already yearning to return and immerse ourselves once again in this incredible retreat.

Waking up to the mesmerizing view of the mountains and river from our exceptionally comfortable bed was truly enchanting. The food was unbelievably tasty, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks for hosting us!
