This lodge sits in one of the most fantastic spots, surrounded by lush green trees and near the Shyok river. You can easily walk to the sand dunes from here. The staff is super friendly, and the food was pretty good. The rooms are really comfy, with well-proportioned bathrooms and an ante room. Had a great experience!
Kameshwari, India
This lodge is really good and in a lovely spot. It's rural, so super quiet with minimal light pollution for star-gazing. The staff runs things very professionally and is happy to assist, from helping with luggage to meals. Our room was cozy, clean, and had tea and coffee facilities. The WiFi didn't quite reach our garden room, but it worked well in reception or the dining room. Dinner had a good variety of Indian dishes, and for breakfast, they offered cornflakes, scrambled eggs, toast with jam, tea, or coffee, a Western version if you're not in the mood for Indian. Thoroughly recommended.
Supasit, Thailand
The location is fantastic. The rooms are decent, but there's room for improvement, especially in the bathroom. The shared dining area has a good ambiance and offers a nice variety of freshly-cooked dishes (the chef even prepared a tasty "khichdi" for us). The only drawback was the Internet access, but one has to accept it in such a remote wilderness. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay, providing easy access to Siachen in one direction and Hundar, Diskit, in the other.
Anupam, India
We stayed there for 2 nights, and it was an excellent experience. Before arriving, we were concerned about the rooms and location, but once we reached, all our fatigue and worries disappeared. The location, food, staff, and the welcoming style were all superb. Thanks to all staff members for their services.
