Shaolin is an amazing hotel run by a local Ladakhi family. Our stay here was truly memorable, thanks to their warm hospitality. Since we arrived in Leh without any plans, Tani, the youngest family member who usually manages the place, generously provided us with all the information about the Ladakh region and even connected us to a bikers group. The rooms and toilets are tidy and offer a stunning distant view of the Tsemo gompa. There's also an outdoor garden where you can relax, sit, and enjoy a bonfire on chilly evenings. Cheers to Team Shaolin Ladakh!

Visited Leh with my family from Aug 25 to Sep 6, including my wife and 6-year-old daughter. A neighbor who visited Leh recommended Shaolin Guest House, and after talking to Dorje, we decided to book our flight tickets independently. We preferred the freedom to plan according to our comfort. Upon reaching Leh, the sprawling garden with fresh vegetables and vibrant flowers welcomed us. The staff, including Angmo, Babloo, and Sanju, were courteous and helpful. Dorje, a friendly host, genuinely inquired about our well-being.
The guest house rooms are spacious, airy, and very comfortable. The kitchen serves piping hot food with farm-fresh and delicious vegetables. The location is convenient, close to the Town Centre and Shanti Stupa. If you wake up early, you can catch the sunrise from the front rooms.
As a photography enthusiast, I discussed with Dorje, who suggested good locations and even took me to a local Gompa for a sunrise shoot. My daughter enjoyed playing with the pets and running around in the garden. It truly felt like a home away from home. We'll definitely return to this place and recommend it anytime. I feel more like a friend to the people in this guest house, which is a rare thing.

Great location in Leh with picturesque views from the hotel rooms. The hotel boasts an organic garden at the front, enhancing its overall appearance. The rooms are spacious, including the bathroom, and the linens are maintained with excellent hygiene standards. While the food is satisfactory, there's room for improvement in their menu variety. The hotel owner resides with the family, personally overseeing the hotel's administration. I highly suggest this hotel for a couple of days' stay when you are in Leh.
